Our Robot Design

We are currently designing the robot and its elements. For now, the images and text boxes will be empty. We will slowly fill up the slots as the year progresses.

Stage 1 Design

The very first step to building a robot is design. Design is probably the most important component of FTC. The design part of FTC is when we design our robot in CAD so that we know what we are actually making. Our designers this year are Ayan Patel, Adithya Ramesh, and Dev Patel.

Stage 2 Design

Strengths of the design: It is small and compact meaning it can maneuver through the trusses. The hub mount is easily accessible meaning if we need to access the control hub or the battery mount it will be easy.

Weaknesses of the design: The size of the robot might not be enough for the sub-systems.

We also added a battery mount to the design making the design more efficient and enabling the battery to be comfortably stored on the robot without fears of falling off or breaking.

Current Drone Design

About the Design: It is a slim design that is not heavy and does not use big motors which could put more weight on the robot. It is also portable.

Strengths: It’s more accurate because you can program the servo to a certain strength.

Weaknesses: The rubber bands could snap.
