The Prototypers Meet Spectrum Works

We reached out to Spectrum Works for this outreach activity to gain various amounts of knowledge about engineering and welding. We did this so that we can succeed in the upcoming FTC season. We appreciate Spectrum Works for allowing us to come into their shop and give us this opportunity!

Here we can see our team members pose in front of a car being fixed. They visited Spectrum Works as representatives for our team, The Prototypers. They gained knowledge on how certain parts and tools can be used to weld certain parts for engineering. This knowledge will be valuable for this upcoming FTC season because it can be used for us to have the ability to weld certain parts from Gobilda. This will be necessary because using this knowledge, we can modify these certain parts in shapes and sizes so that the new modified parts can assist our robot in performing a task given.

As the owner of Spectrum Works carefully explains how different welding tools work on certain objects, our team members closely watch. The presentation that the owner of Spectrum Works gave about welding was very intriguing and gave our team members more insight into welding and engineering.

In conclusion our representatives spent their Saturday afternoon at Spectrum Works learning about various topics relating to engineering and welding.
